Richard is an award winning British musician/composer/producer for the band he created with his American wife, singer, lyricist and composer Sheila Ellis, called Annabel (lee). This solo single and the forthcoming album sees him getting back to his time leading an indie rock band many moons ago. The new solo project includes elements of rock, post punk, electronic and psychedelic vibes and includes contributions from David J from Bauhaus / Love & Rockets and David Bowie's pianist Mike Garson.
A song for Elon Musk and the Crypto Kids! The main theme of To The Moon is about the emergence of the blockchain and the rise of cryptocurrency and NFTs. "To the moon" is a phrase that describes a new coin that is taking off in value, often used by Elon. There's a dream of instant wealth but many times those dreams come crashing down. The third verse relates to a cosmic Chinese myth from the 13th century about the Goddess of the Moon, Chang'e, and her husband who lived in the Sun. Love, betrayal and the Pill Of Immortality.
He is also a photographer, painter and digital artist and has had several recent album cover commissions. A lot of that work can be seen on his Instagram page @richard_e_further_out
